I “hacked” housing by booking both the Four Seasons Hotel and the Driskill in parallel.

In the 2009 video below, I started to deeply study the SxSW hotel situation.

By booking both the Four Seasons Hotel and the Driskill in parallel I did what my chapter 12 (street smarts) advocates, which is to book a back-up plan.

When the hotel W grand-opened, I stayed there while that hotel was in “Grand Open” mode.

For 2013, I’m staying at “the Four” because I booked it an eon ago via my company’s client’s travel desk. Also, I heard that the Four Seasons is under contract and that this is the last contract year.

For 2013 SxSW….

I’ve ENGR145 kids who started a biz listing inventory on campus (like dorms and apartments). They go to UT. They are undergrads and they gouge (yay for them),
