How this is calculated
- Each stage count = the previous stage x that stage conversion rate.
- Overall conversion = deals won / top-of-funnel volume.
- Pipeline revenue = deals won x average contract value.
Stage rates multiply, so healthy-looking steps can still add up to a low end-to-end number. To pressure-test a single step, the conversion rate calculator shows the lift from improving one stage in isolation.
Frequently asked questions
What counts as top of funnel?
Whatever volume enters your funnel first. For most B2B teams that is website visitors or ad impressions that reach a landing page. Pick one consistent starting point and measure everything downstream from it.
Why is my overall conversion so low?
Because stage rates multiply. A funnel with four healthy-looking stages at 10, 40, 50, and 25 percent still converts half a percent end to end. That compounding is exactly why the calculator is useful.
Where should I focus to improve it?
Find the stage with the steepest drop relative to benchmark, not the lowest raw number. A small lift at a high-volume early stage usually moves more revenue than a big lift near the bottom.
